Event Management

Firstly, the event manager must put together the event objective. This is a short statement encapsulating the reason(s) for running the event, e.g. to raise money for charity, or to promote a company, etc. It is important to have an objective because it establishes the motivating factor that all individuals involved can use. It also ensures the team are focused and understand the aim of the event they will be responsible for producing. Goals and deadlines must also be established, because it gives the team a clear direction of what they are heading for and what they hope to achieve.
